Denarius: Long Range Transport
Feb 3rd, 2006 by Matt

I have a confession to make: I love LEGOs. It’s no secret. A simple google search will reveal my obsession.
Lately I have been hanging out on a board dedicated to those who create models in the LEGO space “Universe.” These guys are increadible. Amazing models, amazing ability.
One of the best is a guy by the name of Chris Giddens. He has recently created a ship called the Denarius. And this thing is beautiful. (and by beautiful, I mean big, yellow, and ugly.) This ship has inspired me to build a cargo ship of my own. And despite the outcrys of my wife, I have started dedicating a large amount of my free time to the construction of the ship.
Why do I love LEGO so much? I guess its because it allows me to be creative without touching a computer. I work on computers all day long and the last thing I want to do when I get home is hop back on the computer. (which is why Annabelle’s Bistro has taken so long to get off of the ground.)
Plus, with LEGOs I am building something tangable. Something I can hold in my hands and look at from different angles. Something I can place on a shelf and display.
Click here to check out the Denarius in all of its glory. Be sure to check out the rest of Chris’s work. It is some really amazing stuff.
