Monsters vs Aliens

/film has the story of Monsters vs Aliens. A new film by Dreamworks Animation that attempts to re-invent the B-movie creature feature.

The photo certainly looks interesting and very stylish as all of Dreamworks films do, however, I cannot help but be a little concerned about the fact that so much is being made over its all-star cast so early in the production. I wonder just how much audiences really care about the talent behind the voice work. Producers sure think it makes a difference. You can’t throw a stick without hitting a movie with at least four big names attached to it. It seems like casting to a character is far less important nowadays. (Jim Carrey as Horton? Really?)
An interesting element will be that this film will be the first of many Dreamworks animated films that will be created specifically to be released in stereoscopic 3D. This will be a trend that I think will be pretty popular in the years ahead and for that reason alone, I look forward to seeing MVA. (I am calling it now: before it’s over with, we will be seeing commercials with the letters M V and A as the title of the film. You watch.)
